Although Moorlodge Country Retreat is located in the middle of the Bronte countryside and in it’s own 4 acre grounds; you are still within easy reach of all the major tourist attractions and near to local shops and restaurants. Haworth is just 4 miles away and is a hive of activity with many independent shops, restaurants and bars. Scattered amongst the hills are several good gastro pubs serving traditional fayre and good locally brewed ales.
There is a good sized local Coop about 3 miles away and a choice of supermarkets in Colne or keighley which are both just a 15 minute drive away. There is lots to do and see on our very own doorstep: from adventure activities to more leisurely walks. Bronte country can provide it all.
If your a keen cyclist you might want to try a “Tour De France” climb featuring one of our many steep hills: or mountain bike over our craggy moorland trails. There are many routes within a short ride from Moorlodge.
If you fancy a bit of retail therapy then Boundary Mills is just the place to grab a bargain. Two massive floors of clothing and home ware all at 70% less than the retail price. Follow this with a visit to Banny’s fish restaurant after a hard days shopping.
Country doesn’t aways mean isolation and at Moorlodge you get a taste of both. You can wake up in the morning to peace and quiet and one or two pheasants or ducks on your doorstep yet still be near to local amenities and attractions.
